Biography
T. Kyle Swicegood is a respected leader in the real estate and auction profession. As the Founder and CEO of The Swicegood Group, Inc., he has built a reputation for integrity, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to his clients.
Kyle’s depth of expertise stems from a strong educational foundation and decades of industry experience. He earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in June 2000 after completing postgraduate studies at the Commercial Real Estate Institute, reflecting his proficiency in commercial investment analysis and real estate strategy.
In 2013, Kyle achieved the Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designation from Indiana University, one of the highest distinctions in the auction industry and a testament to his dedication to ongoing professional development. He also holds the Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) designation from the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), underscoring his expertise in appraising and marketing a wide range of assets.
With a well-rounded background spanning commercial, residential, and land brokerage, Kyle has successfully represented clients across diverse property types—from office buildings in Raleigh, NC, and coastal homes, to legacy farmland across the Carolinas. His firm has become a trusted resource for those seeking professional, results-driven auction and real estate services.
Appointed by the Governor of North Carolina in 2021, Kyle is now serving his second term on the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board, where he holds the role of Co-Chairperson. On the national level, he was elected to the National Auctioneers Association Board of Directors in 2022 and continues to contribute to advancing the profession nationwide.
Kyle’s expertise has also earned him international recognition. In May 2023, he was invited to address the South African Institute of Auctioneers in Johannesburg, sharing his insights on best practices, innovation, and professional standards in the global auction community.
Despite his demanding schedule, Kyle’s greatest joy comes from his family. Married to his wife Elizabeth since 1989, they share two children, Ashton and Lewis, and are proud grandparents to Braxton and Blaire Burton. When not working on behalf of his clients, Kyle can often be found fly fishing on Montana’s Missouri River or spending quality time with his family.
