Kyle Swicegood, CCIM, CAI, GPPA, AARE
T. Kyle Swicegood is a prominent figure in the real estate and auction industry. As the Founder and CEO of the Swicegood Group, Inc., he has built a reputation for his unwavering dedication to his clients and his extensive knowledge of the industry. Kyle's expertise in real estate is reflected in his postgraduate studies at the Commercial Real Estate Institute, where he received his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation in June 2000.
In 2013, Kyle received the Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI) designation from Indiana University, a prestigious recognition in the auction industry. This designation attests to his commitment to continuing education and his dedication to professionalism and excellence in the auction profession. Kyle's knowledge and skills are further demonstrated by his Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) designation, awarded by the National Auctioneers Association.
With a well-rounded background in commercial, residential, and land brokerage real estate, Kyle has helped clients with diverse assets, ranging from office buildings in Raleigh, NC, beachfront properties, to the classic American Farm. In August 2021, Kyle was appointed by the Governor of North Carolina to serve on the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board, where he will serve a three-year term.
Kyle's expertise in auctioneering has earned him international recognition. He was chosen to speak to the South African Institute of Auctioneers in Johannesburg, where he will be sharing his insights and knowledge on the industry with fellow professionals from around the world in May, 2023
Despite his busy schedule, Kyle values his family above all else. He has been married to his wife Elizabeth since he was 17 years old, and they have two children, Ashton and Lewis. Kyle is a proud grandfather to Braxton Burton, who was born on December 31, 2021. When he is not working hard for his clients, you'll find Kyle enjoying quality time with his family or indulging his passion for fly fishing on the Missouri River in Montana. Elizabeth Swicegood, CAI
Elizabeth Swicegood is a highly talented individual who is dedicated to providing exceptional service to her clients. Originally from Denton County, Texas, she moved to North Carolina as a teenager and graduated from Davie High School in 1986. Elizabeth went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Education with a Minor in Spanish from Catawba College in Salisbury, NC. She continued her studies at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she pursued postgraduate studies.
With a passion for real estate, Elizabeth graduated from the Dan Mohr School of Real Estate in 1999. Since then, she has expanded her skill set by becoming a certified auctioneer, graduating from the Nashville Auction School in 2015, and completing the prestigious Certified Auctioneers Institute program offered by the National Auctioneers Association at Indiana University in 2021.
Elizabeth's commitment to her clients and her outstanding marketing and technology skills have resulted in unparalleled results that consistently exceed expectations. As a result, The Swicegood Group has become a leading force in the field of auctioneering.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Elizabeth is a devoted wife and mother. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Kyle, since 1989 and they have two grown children and a son-in-law. Elizabeth and Kyle are actively involved in supporting local charities such as the Salem Pregnancy Care Center in Winston-Salem.
Beyond her charitable work, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her grandson and traveling. Her passion for both work and life is evident in everything she does.

Ashton Burton, CAI
Ashton Burton is a native to Davie County, North Carolina. After graduating from Davie High School in 2011, she attended Appalachian State University where she earned a bachelor degree in Public Relations. Since graduating from Appalachian, Ashton has acquired her Real Estate License as well as her Auctioneer License. She graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute, offered by the National Auctioneers Association in 2021. This is a post graduate program offered at Indiana University for licensed auctioneers.
As a Millennial, Ashton brings a fresh awareness of current trends regarding up and coming home buyers. Her advanced approach to technology and how it interfaces with buyers and sellers gives her a sharp advantage.
Ashton is married to her high school sweetheart, Ben Burton. Ashton and Ben recently welcomed their first child, Braxton in December of 2021. She is dedicated to her church and other philanthropies.
For fun, you’ll find Ashton relaxing with Ben, Brax and their dog, Rose, snowboarding the slopes of the Colorado Rockies or playing golf with her husband.

Zach Johnson, CAI
Zach Johnson is a native to Rice Lake, Wisconsin. After graduating high school, he moved to North Carolina to pursue his passion of racing by becoming a NASCAR crew member. He spent 14 years chasing his racing dream working with NASCAR superstars such as Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Robby Gordon, Scott Riggs and Johnny Sauter to name a few. While racing, Zach also earned his degree in Criminal Justice. In 2011, he left the racing industry and became a sworn Law Enforcement Officer in the state of North Carolina. Although still currently certified as a Law Enforcement Officer, Zach acquired his Real Estate License and joined The Swicegood Group in a full-time capacity in 2017. Zach graduated from the Certified Auctioneers Institute, offered by the National Auctioneers Association in 2023. This is a prestigious post graduate program offered at Indiana University for licensed auctioneers.
The Swicegood group benefits from Zach’s attention to detail and his competitive nature, both skills that were honed in his racing background. These skills are an asset to clients, as Zach always strives for perfection and always competes on behalf of his client for the client’s best interest. With Zach’s Law Enforcement background, he holds himself and his actions to a high standard of professionalism, integrity and fairness.
Zach and his wife, Casey, live in Hiddenite, NC. Their three children are their pride and joy. You will likely find the entire family enjoying each other’s company and working together around their small farm. Zach is also a NFL team owner. Well actually he owns a small share of stock in the Green Bay Packers organization, as the Packers are the only publicly owned NFL franchise.

Becky Atkins Tarlton
Becky Tarlton is a trailblazer in the field of auctioneering. Born and raised in Rowan County, North Carolina, Becky has been a full-time auctioneer for over 35 years, having started her career in February of 1987. She is licensed to practice auctioneering in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, making her a well-known figure in the southeastern region.
Becky followed in her father's footsteps and has since broken barriers in the auction field, making history as the first female auto auctioneer in North Carolina. Her bid chant is powerful, but she brings more than just her vocal skills to the table. Becky possesses a vast amount of experience and knowledge, which she uses to provide excellent organizational skills to the personal property auctions she oversees. She creates detailed catalogs and pays attention to the best practices in the auction industry, ensuring the highest and best values for the assets she is selling, regardless of the category.
Becky is a respected and sought-after instructor at the Carolina Auction Academy. Her proficiency in the latest technology ensures that she can achieve the best results for her clients and customers, regardless of the category of asset being sold. Over the years, Becky has sold just about everything, and her expertise has made her a force to be reckoned with in the auction industry.
Outside of work, Becky enjoys spending time with her family and is an active member of her community and church in Salisbury. She is an avid horse and miniature Australian shepherd breeder and raises them on her farm. She has a warm and friendly personality, and her clients and customers often become her friends. Becky's exceptional work ethic and dedication to a job well done are a testament to her success in the field of auctioneering.

Ron Helderman
Ron Helderman is a native of South Carolina.The son of a pastor, Ron lived in Columbia, Camden, Hampton and Charlestown before moving to Raleigh, North Carolina as a teenager. He graduated from Sanderson High school and then earned a marketing degree with a minor in religion from North Carolina State.
After college, Ron worked in the technology industry and then in the insurance industry for ten years. Ron has most recently been a stay at home father to his three children, and has been married for twenty two years to Dr. Jennifer Helderman who is a physician at both Baptist and Forsyth hospitals.
Ron’s primary role focuses on residential property as well as corporate liquidations.
Ron has been a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he has sung and acted for the last eighteen years. In his spare time, you will find Ron cheering for the Wolfpack and coaching the Calvary Day School middle school soccer team where his children attend.

Lewis F. Swicegood
Lewis Swicegood is a native to Davie County, North Carolina. After graduating from Davie High School in 2013, he attended Marion Military Institute and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary where he earned a bachelor degree in History. He is a graduate of Nashville School of Auctioneering. Since graduating in December of 2018 Lewis has acquired his North Carolina Auction License. He is a graduate of Superior School of Real Estate and holds a North Carolina Real Estate Brokers License.
Lewis is a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He has a keen interest in biblical studies and has visited the holy lands. Well versed in American History, Lewis enjoys World War II history and has spent time touring the Normandy coast in France. He is known for his love of hunting and fishing. In his spare time you will find Lewis at a Carolina Panthers game, working out, duck hunting or fly fishing on the Missouri River in Montana.

Justin Latham

Justin's story begins in the small community of William R. Davie, Davie County where he was born and raised. After graduating from Davie High School in 2002, Justin began his journey as a paramedic, serving his community with dedication and passion for twelve years in Yadkin County. During this time, he also earned his Paramedic Licensure from Rowan College, furthering his education and skills in the medical field.
However, Justin's interests and passions extended far beyond the world of medicine. Since childhood, he has had a deep fascination with farming, sawmilling, and equipment operations. His vast knowledge and expertise in these areas, coupled with his natural business acumen, led him to start a successful multiregional fencing company. Justin's company has earned both state and local government contracts, a testament to his attention to detail, great communication skills, and punctuality.
When it comes to identifying and evaluating many types of farm, construction, and industrial equipment, Justin is second to none. His ability to provide accurate appraisals and valuations for a variety of items has led him to become a sought-after auctioneer.
But Justin's true passions lie with his family. His wife, Amelia, and their two children, Reagan and Case, are the light of his life. When he's not working hard in the auction or fence business, you'll find him at home on his farm managing cattle and other livestock, instilling his love of the outdoors in his children or pursuing his favorite outdoor activities such as turkey, duck, and dove hunting or coastal fishing.
Justin's FFL license has given him the ability to market, appraise, and sell firearms. His expertise in this area, coupled with his vast knowledge of equipment and personal property, has made him a go-to resource for those looking to sell a variety of items.
