Swicegood Inducted into North Carolina Auctioneers Hall of Fame

Concord, NC — T. Kyle Swicegood of Mocksville was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Auctioneers Association of North Carolina during the Association’s Winter Convention held in Concord, North Carolina. The induction ceremony took place before an audience of approximately 75 leaders and professionals from across the state’s auction industry.
Swicegood is the Founder and CEO of The Swicegood Group, Inc., a firm recognized for its work in commercial, residential, land, and personal property auctions. Over a career spanning decades, he has become widely known for his commitment to professionalism, education, and ethical standards within both the auction and real estate professions.
Induction remarks were delivered by Becky Tarlton, Team Leader at The Swicegood Group and a 2021 Hall of Fame inductee. In her address, Tarlton highlighted Swicegood’s forward-thinking leadership and his belief that education and service are essential to strengthening the auction industry. Over 22 of the Swicegood Group, Inc. team showed up in support of this celebration.
Swicegood holds several of the profession’s most respected credentials, including Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Auctioneer Institute (CAI), and Graduate Personal Property Appraiser (GPPA) and Accredited Auction Real Estate (AARE). His dedication to professional development has influenced not only his own career, but also the standards and practices adopted by many within the industry. He has served on the National Auction Association Education Institute.
In addition to his business accomplishments, Swicegood has served extensively in leadership and governance roles. He currently serves as a Director with the National Auctioneers Association, contributing to national initiatives focused on education and the future of the profession. At the state level, he is serving his second gubernatorial appointment to the North Carolina Auctioneer Licensing Board and currently holds the position of Vice Chair, where he has played a key role in promoting regulatory clarity, integrity, and stability.
Swicegood is also known for his involvement in charitable and community-focused auctions, as well as for operating a family-centered business alongside his wife and children.
The Auctioneers Association of North Carolina Hall of Fame recognizes individuals whose careers have made a lasting impact on the auction profession. Swicegood’s induction reflects a legacy of leadership, service, and dedication that has helped shape the auction industry in North Carolina and beyond.
