When the National Auction Association convened from October 5–7, 2025, at The Westin Denver Downtown for the inaugural 2025 Real Estate Summit, auction and real estate professionals gathered to explore strategies shaping the industry’s future. (auctioneers.org) Among those in attendance were Zach Johnson, CAI, and T. Kyle Swicegood, CAI, AARE, GPPA — two distinguished leaders whose commitment to excellence continues to elevate the profession.
A Presence Felt at the Summit
Johnson and Swicegood didn’t just attend—they engaged, contributed, and connected. Their participation in sessions ranging from AI Applications in Real Estate to Building Strategic Partnerships with Real Estate Agents added substance and perspective to the conversation. The summit provided a collaborative space for thought leaders, educators, and practitioners to exchange ideas and strengthen the foundation of real estate auctioneering across the nation.
Their shared belief that education drives innovation in the auction industry was evident throughout the event. Both men embody the spirit of lifelong learning, professionalism, and community that defines the National Auctioneers Association.
A Side Note: Colorado’s Majesty Before the Meetings
Before the conference began, Zach and Kyle took full advantage of Colorado’s breathtaking landscape. Their pre-conference adventures included:
A Journey to Pike’s Peak – Rising 14,115 feet (4,302 meters) above sea level, Pike’s Peak is one of Colorado’s most famous “fourteeners.” Standing at the summit, the pair took in panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and the sweeping plains—a moment of inspiration before a week of collaboration and professional growth.
Fly Fishing the North Platte River – The two also spent a day near Deckers, Colorado, fly fishing along the pristine North Platte River. Amid the crisp mountain air and rhythmic flow of the river, they found both relaxation and reflection—a reminder that balance and renewal are essential to sustained leadership.
These side excursions were more than leisure—they reflected the camaraderie and perspective that fuel both personal and professional excellence.
