Swicegood Group supports Battle for the Badges

The Swicegood Group, Inc. was proud to be the auctioneer for the Battle of the Badges. Battle of the Badges is a fundraiser to show support for the Winston-Salem Police Department "Peacekeepers", the Winston-Salem Fire Department "Overhaulers", the Greensboro Police Department "Sheepdogs," and the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office "Enforcers" as they competed to be the winner of the second annual Battle of the Badges softball tournament. All funds raised went to support the Crisis Control Ministry. This organization was created to assist people in crisis to meet essential life needs and to become self-sufficient.

Their mission statement is, “We believe that food, shelter, and medicine are basic human needs and that we can meet the needs of people in Forsyth who are in crisis and dealing with unfortunate circumstances. We strive to give help for today and hope for tomorrow by providing our neighbors with support, advocacy, understanding, and information.”

The event paid $14,450 to the 50/50 raffle winner. Organizer, Brad Mullins said, “We’d like to thank everyone for their support for Crisis Control Ministry. We exceeded last year’s amount and are excited about the growing nature of this event.”  The Swicegood Group representative Ashton Burton was proud to provide a $2,000 check from the online auction which the firm conducted.
